The mountain is calling — and now it has a melody

The Vitalhotel now has its own song. „Höhenluft“ tells the story of a whole day in the Upper Harz — from morning mist over the firs to the dog dozing by the barrel sauna. On Spotify since 15 June, Apple Music to follow shortly.

Some hotels have a guest book. We now have a song as well.

„Höhenluft (Vitalhotel Oberharz)“ has been live on Spotify since 15 June 2026, with Apple Music to follow in the coming days. It is not a jingle, and not background music for the breakfast room. It is an attempt to capture in three minutes something that never quite fits into a brochure: the feeling of waking up here, high in the mountains, and knowing the day is entirely yours.

A day in the Upper Harz, turned into a song

The track follows a full day. Early morning, mist drifting over the firs, the first coffee — and then out the door. Down the winding mountain roads, the Oker reservoir lying there like glass. Anyone who has ever ridden these roads early, on a bike or a motorcycle, knows that exact moment. The wide open noon, the long shadows of the afternoon. And in the evening everyone is back at the house: the group laughing in the lounge, the family counting the metres they climbed, the dog stretched out contentedly in front of the barrel sauna.

That is exactly what the Vitalhotel is meant to be. Our guiding line is simple: the hotel is your base, the Harz is the programme. The song takes that literally — for three minutes, it turns everyone who comes to us into the main character: groups and companies, cyclists and motorcyclists, families, hikers, dog owners. Every one of them is somewhere in this song.

Musically it is sunny feel-good house — bright, driving, summery, with that sense of setting off you get when the road ahead is clear and the whole day is still in front of you. The chorus is the heart of it (sung in German):

„Höhenluft, der Berg ruft mich
ich lass alles los, ich find zurück zu mir
Höhenluft, hier oben bin ich
Vitalhotel — der Harz, der gehört nur mir“

Who made the song

„Höhenluft“ was composed and produced by Lia Nova — the sound and the composition are hers. Lia is an AI music artist from Kiel, an „AI DJane“, and a project of Baltic iHub GmbH, the company that runs the Vitalhotel as its operator. Yes, an AI artist — and no, we are not hiding that. Lia is open about it herself, and we think there is something worth saying here: if a new kind of music production can capture a feeling this warm and this human, then it deserves to be named out loud. You can find out more about her at lianovaofficial.com.

The song is released under BALTICORP, the group’s own music label. So on Spotify you will not find it under „Lia Nova“, but under BALTICORP — Lia created it, the label puts it out.

Just give it a listen

A song like this explains itself best on its own. Turn it up, close your eyes, and if the chorus makes you think for a second of empty mountain roads and quiet mist over the Oker reservoir — then it has done its job. The player is right below.

And if you then feel like doing more than just listening — if you want to live it — our base is ready, with rooms from €59 per night. The Harz outside is already running anyway: the racepark, the Romkerhall waterfall, the lake, the mountains. All you have to do is come.

The hotel is your base. The Harz is the programme.

Listen to the song — then come and stay. Rooms from €59/night, breakfast from 07:30, the Oker reservoir right outside.
